Jesuit theologian and cosmologist, Teilhard de Chardin maintained that human beings, eventually, will harness for God the energies of love. On that day, Teilhard says, when all human love is amassed, when our selfishness and the cruel inequalities among us are overcome, we will, for the second time in the history of the world, have discovered fire.
