How can a good God permit the death of children and suffering of the innocent, famine and genocide, and bleak headlines daily?

El teólogo y cosmólogo jesuita, Teilhard de Chardin, sostenía que los seres humanos, eventualmente, canalizarán para Dios las energías del amor. Jesuit theologian and cosmologist, Teilhard de Chardin maintained that human beings, eventually, will harness for God the energies of love. On that day, Teilhard says, when all human love is amassed, when our selfishness and the cruel inequalities among us are overcome, we will, for the second time in the history of the world, have discovered fire.

Todos nosotros a veces buscamos aquello que finalmente nos satisfará. ¿Qué dice Dios sobre eso hoy? “Insensato”. Porque así no funciona.

All of us at times look for a fix. What does God have to say about that today? “You fool.” Because it doesn’t work.
